Building a Business, Not Just a Dream

Updated: 3 days ago

For the first time, my goals are rooted deeply in intention—grounded in my business, my health, and the life I want to live. 2026 will be a big year for me and my art. It’s the beginning of my gallery push.

I’m starting small, but with purpose. I’m exploring grants and possibly an SBA loan, hoping to secure a location I can truly call my own. A space where my work lives, where people can walk in and feel something, where community and creativity meet. My goal is to have a fully standing gallery by September.

Until then, I’ll be hosting pop-up events at different locations—showing my work, telling my story, and putting my name and brand out into the world in real, tangible ways. In-person. Human. Connected.

Valuing My Work—and Myself

Another major goal this year is to raise my prices. And more importantly—stay firm in them. This will be my third year of selling and marketing my work. I’ve learned so much. I’ve grown so much. And it’s time to fully step into the value of my name, my experience, and my voice as an artist.

This feels like a leap—but it’s the kind of leap that comes after preparation, not impulse. My goal is simple and bold: To be living fully off my art and gallery by the end of next year.

Choosing Health, Again

Outside of business, my health is a priority I can no longer postpone. This past year, I’ve been sicker than I can remember. It’s been exhausting—mentally, physically, emotionally. Doctor visits. Tests. Appointments. Answers that never quite feel like answers.

So I’m taking it into my own hands. My goal is to work out again—and stay true to it. Not out of punishment or pressure, but out of care. Out of the belief that I deserve to feel strong in my body again.

Less Screens. More Living.

And finally—less screen time. More vacations. More freedom for my family. More moments that don’t need to be documented to be meaningful. Life is too short to rush through it distracted. I’m aiming to live a life that feels full, intentional, and honest—one that supports my creativity instead of draining it.

Embracing Change

Change is a constant in our lives. It can be daunting, but it can also be beautiful. I’m learning to embrace it. Each step I take in my journey is a step toward growth. I want to inspire others to see change as an opportunity, not a setback.

A Year of Connection

This year, I want to focus on connection. I want to connect with fellow artists, art lovers, and my community. Building relationships is essential. It’s not just about selling art; it’s about sharing experiences and stories. I believe that art has the power to heal and bring people together.

The Power of Art

Art is more than just a product; it’s a way of life. It’s a form of expression that transcends words. I want to create pieces that resonate with people, that evoke emotions and spark conversations. My goal is to create and sell emotionally expressive abstract art that fosters healing and connection, transforming spaces into places of inspiration and reflection.

Looking Ahead

As I look ahead, I feel a sense of excitement. The possibilities are endless. I’m ready to embrace the challenges and celebrate the victories. Here’s to a new year. A grounded one. A brave one. A year of building something real.
