Abstract studies

Recently, it's been challenging for me to work on large paintings due to the move and everything else going on. So, for now, I'm using what I have to create small abstract pieces simply because I feel the need to paint. This process has been incredibly helpful for expressing my emotions, and it comes without the pressure of needing to sell too much.

These studies represent my plans for when I begin painting on a larger scale again. I'm returning to what feels authentic to me—the emotional aspect that initially inspired me to paint. At some point, I began creating what I thought others desired and lost sight of my own feelings.
Indeed, my more intricate seascapes tend to sell better because they are visually appealing. However, they didn't resonate with me personally. It felt as though I was creating to please others. While I do wish to bring joy to people through my art, I also want them to connect with the emotions within the piece, not just admire a lovely painting. That was never my goal. I aim to combine both elements to craft a beautiful, emotional painting that people can truly feel, making it worthwhile.

These abstracts represent my return to what I genuinely feel as an artist. They are emotional, somewhat unusual, yet beautiful and unique in their own way. I aim to create one-of-a-kind pieces that no one else can replicate. It's healing and growth at its best.
