WINTER NIGHT — A New Collection, A New Beginning

I’ve been quietly working on something that feels like a long time coming. A new collection, yes—but more than that, a body of work I’ve been growing toward as an artist. These paintings come from years of practice, from nights spent studying the sky, from learning how to shape a cloud with intention, and from discovering how to bring depth to something as deceptively simple as an abstract night.
I’ve always loved the night. The moon, the rain, the way the world quiets down and softens. Maybe it’s because I’m such a homebody—someone who finds comfort in rest, in the hush of evening, in familiar shadows. Or maybe it’s because I have known chaos my whole life, and the night has always offered me a place to land. A place to breathe. A place to anchor my somber personality into something beautiful.

This collection is my love letter to that peace.
For years, I’ve been painting around the edges of this idea. Practicing. Studying. Learning how to make clouds feel alive and how to let darkness hold light in all the right places. It feels right that now—after all the growth, all the experimenting—this collection finally gets its spotlight.
And the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
My upcoming pop-up event next month carries the theme Winter Night, and this work lives so naturally inside that mood. I’ll be sharing these pieces in person, for the very first time. The thought of standing beside this work—the most honest and refined expression of my style yet—fills me with a mix of anxiety and overwhelming excitement. But mostly, it feels like a new beginning. A new goal. A new chapter for me and my art.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks of these paintings on Instagram. They won’t officially release online until after the pop-up, but I want you to feel the anticipation with me… to watch this collection unfold piece by piece.
I’m also starting to think more about next year—about creating multiple collections, painting more, releasing more, and giving you more immersive stories to fall into. That is my goal: more art, more meaning, more connection.
If you aren’t already following along, join me on Instagram @gingerlianneart to see all the upcoming previews. I can’t wait to share Winter Night with you.
A collection born in the quiet.A moment I’ve waited years to step into.A beginning that feels like home.
