Why I’m Loving Functional Art (and Why You Might Too)

I’ve recently started doing some small pop-up art shows in my little town, and I’ve noticed something interesting. A lot of people are drawn to things that feel useful in their everyday life. Not just art for their walls, but something they can actually use.

For so long, I’ve been focused on my originals and prints. I didn’t really think about putting my art on things that could be both beautiful and functional. But after seeing how excited people get over the little things...things they can carry with them, write in, use daily...it clicked.

And honestly, it makes sense. I love those kinds of things too. I’m always drawn to notebooks, cards, and stickers when I go to little markets or shops. I love finding tiny treasures that have beautiful art on them. So why not create some of my own?

That’s why I finally gave in and started my new collection of spiral notebooks. These are 140-page notebooks with my original paintings printed on the cover. I started with just four designs to test the waters...and I’ve already sold five! It’s been so fun seeing how people respond to them.

They’ve been more popular than I expected, and I definitely plan to add more soon. They’re super affordable, which makes them perfect for gifting or collecting more than just one. I wanted to create something accessible for anyone who connects with my work.

And as a little thank-you, I added a 20% discount when you order four or more.

Functional art really is such a fun way to keep creativity in your daily life. I’m excited to keep exploring this path.

Go check them out and let me know which one’s your favorite.
