Discovering My New Artistic Style: A Journey Through Abstract and Seascapes

For the past year, I’ve been slowly finding my voice as an artist—through paint, through process, and through healing. What started as a way to express my emotions has become something much bigger: a new artistic style that blends the raw freedom of abstract art with the depth and serenity of seascapes.
It didn’t happen overnight.

There were months where I felt stuck—where nothing I created felt like me. I tried to paint like what I thought collectors wanted. I tried to fit my work into a box. But I kept coming back to the ocean. To color. To texture. To those moody blues and wild strokes that poured from my hands without a second thought.
That’s when it clicked.
My most recent large scale paintings are an exploration of that moment—where abstract meets nature, and emotion meets movement. Using oil painting techniques layered with textured paste, I’ve begun creating pieces that feel like home to me. They’re bold, intuitive, expressive. And they tell a story that words often can’t.
The ocean shows up a lot in my work. Maybe because I live near it now. Maybe because it mirrors the emotional tides I’ve navigated. But these aren’t traditional seascapes. They’re deeply abstract—evocative of waves, mist, memory. Sometimes calm, sometimes chaotic. Just like healing.
This new style feels like a conversation between who I was and who I’m becoming.
It’s not about perfection—it’s about process. And letting the canvas hold the things I’m still learning to say out loud.
If you’re someone who collects art not just for decoration but for connection, I hope these new pieces speak to you. My original oil paintings are available in large scale formats, perfect for collectors looking to bring emotion and movement into their spaces.
Take a look through my newest work. You might just find a piece of yourself in it too.
