Mystic Light: A textured abstract painting

I created this painting in the spring of last year, and I feel it didn't receive the attention it deserved. After selling a similar large painting to some wonderful acquaintances, I wanted to craft something similar—something smaller yet still impactful. I love incorporating molding paste into much of my work, so I decided to begin another piece.

Mystic light is situated in the Puget Sound, a more tranquil version of the ocean. The waters are cooler, blending fresh water with ocean water, leaving one unsure whether it resembles a beach or a lake. The gentle waves lap against the rocky sand, while the pine trees in the distance create a serene and magical atmosphere.
I selected colors to highlight the greens and blues of the water under the sunlight. I aimed to capture the oranges and yellows of a sunset over the water. The small purple fairies were added for whimsical touches.
A tranquil retreat ideal for a home with coastal decor.
